Watch Classic G.I. Joe & Transformers On Your Roku Free

If you were a kid growing up in the 1980’s or early 90’s you likely rushed home after school to watch G.I. Joe or the Transformers after school each day. Well if you get the itch to watch them now there is no need to rush home as they are available to stream free on demand on your Roku.

Hasbro has their own free Roku channel called Hasbro Studios Free (note, there are two channels available, the second has the same content and no commercials for a small monthly fee). The channel features lots of Hasbro cartoons, with small commercial interruptions. Not a bad deal to watch Transformers for free.

Here is a brief listing of content available on Hasbro Studios Free as of this writing:

  • GI Joe (1985)
  • Transformers Generation 1
  • Conan The Adventurer
  • Transformers Beast Wars
  • Clue
  • GI Joe Sigma Six
  • Transformers The Animated Series
  • GI Joe Renegades
  • Transformers Energon
  • Transformers Armada
  • Transformers Cybertron
  • GI Joe RAH

Quite a bit of cool stuff if your a Generation X kid (if you are you probably hate that term too), or a good way to introduce your kids to the now classic cartoons. So now you know, and knowing is half the battle…or something.

You can add the channel from your Roku by going to the channel store and searching Hasbro or by clicking here and logging into your account online.

Below is a brief tutorial on how to add the channel for new Roku users, as well as a tour of the channel.
