The Design Network Launches Live Home Design Channel On The Roku Channel

The Design Network launched today on The Roku Channel as a free live network, featuring 24/7 programming all about home. The Design Network is one of the first live and linear partners in the new lifestyle/home category. The launch of The Design Network channel extends TDN’s viewing experience beyond on-demand.

“It’s been my dream to create a TV channel to celebrate all things home,” says Jason Harris, founder of The Design Network. “Our genre is conducive to a ‘lean-back viewing experience,’ and we are thrilled to offer The Roku Channel’s audience a whole new way to be entertained, inspired and to learn about design, decorating, organization and living a better life at home. We’re thrilled to be part of The Roku Channel’s live channel offering.”

The Design Network app has been available on the Roku® platform for the last five years. The Roku Channel is the first to offer The Design Network’s live channel.

TDN’s new 24/7 linear channel will feature jaw-dropping home tours as well as top trends and tricks of the trade from design experts like Genevieve Gorder, Kelli Ellis and Thom Filicia. The Design Network has brand new longer-format shows rolling out over the next few months in tandem with the linear launch featuring the home décor and designs for some of the network’s biggest guests including global sensation Zac Brown and NFL legend Hines Ward.

“TDN’s new programming lineup will super-serve an audience of design fanatics,” explains Katlyn Wilson, president of The Design Network. “The slate is stacked with original series we can’t wait to unveil – including celebrity home tours, a look at young couples ditching the big city to move ‘back home’, and a first-of-its kind design talk show hosted by the one and only, Carson Kressley.”
