Watch Out For The Latest Netflix Phishing Scam

Netflix is by far the most popular app on Roku. Because of Netflix’s popularity it is no surprise that it’s also one of the largest targets of internet scammers using email phishing techniques.

Several Netflix users have alerted others that a new email scam is going around. Users are told via an email that there is a billing issue. They are asked to follow a link and update their payment info.

Netflix never asks for updated payment info via email. If in doubt about the authenticity an email from anyone, never click on the link in the email. Always go directly to the site in question via you browser by using your bookmark, or typing in the url.
