VIDGO Retracts MLB Network Offering Claim

Still yet to launch video streaming service VIDGO is backtracking on a claim it made earlier this week that it would carry MLB Network on it’s service.

VIDGO issued an updated press release today with the following retraction:

“VIDGO’s OTT service retracts its statement on June 15 about MLB Network being offered by VIDGO. VIDGO is not offering MLB Network.”

The update press release also omitted many networks listed in their original statement including ESPN, NFL Network, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS. While these were omitted, no official retraction was stated either.

This either could either mean VIDGO jumped the gun before negotiations were complete, were listing channels they wish to carry as fact. Either way it’s quite possible they are a lot farther away from a launch product that they let on.
