Simpsons Creator Matt Groening In Talks With Netflix

Matt Groening creator of the long running Simpsons and Futurama cartoons is reportedly in talks to create a new animated comedy series for streaming giant Netflix.

The rumored deal is reported to be for two 10 episode seasons. A two year commitment from Netlfix would in theory reduce production costs and reduce lead time turnaround.

Netflix currently has been getting a lot of buzz for their adult animated seried Bojack Horesman and F Is For Family. Details are sparse as far as plot, title, or casting that the creator would have in mind for the proposed series, but with Groening’s impressive track record this move would certainly bolster the Netflix animated original lineup and in all likelihood become a hit.
