Is Cartoon Circus coming back? If you are a fan of the popular Cartoon Circus Roku channel, you probably asked that question earlier this week.
Man fans of the throwback cartoon channel tuned in only to find an error message.
This past Monday the company clarified slightly why viewers were getting the error message on their Facebook page, “Please note, the channel will be down for a while as we deal with licensing issues. It will return as soon as we get this issue sorted.”
Tonight they gave an update on the current status, ” Greetings!
Just a quick note about the channel. We were victims of fraud by a company that did not have the rights to a few properties on the channel.
It was legally prudent (at the behest of our attorneys) to pull the channel down until we could double check all of our properties and to ensure we are compliant with copyright law.
To answer the main question of ‘Is Cartoon Circus returning’:
Cartoon Circus will be returning very soon!”
So the good news is it looks like they are returning. The unknown at this time is what property they were defrauded about, and whether that property will get cleared to return.
