hoopla Is Coming To Roku (And Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV) Next Month

hoopla is coming to Roku (along with Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV) next month.

Last month we posted about the possibility of hoopla coming to Roku was in the works, though exact details were scarce. Today hoopla sent out a press release concerning their new deal with Paramount, and it had some info on the Roku launch tucked in the release:

“Next month, the hoopla app will be available on the set-top boxes of Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku, allowing patrons the ability to stream movies from Paramount straight to their TV. hoopla digital also offers a “Kids Mode” feature, which families can use to search and access kid-friendly titles any time.”

A little background on hoopla for those unfamiliar with hoopla. hoopla is a digital streaming movie, book, and audio book service that loans out free media to local library patrons using only a library card. hoopla is affiliated with hundreds of libraries across the country.
