Many are referring to Georgia as the new Hollywood. With generous tax incentives and locations varying from beach to mountains, Georgia has become a hot spot for Hollywood films. However, many overlook the fact that independent filmmakers have been churning out great content for years in the Peach State. That’s why PeachFlicks was born.
The free Roku channel, PeachFlicks, features shorts, documentaries and series all connected to Georgia in some way. Local filmmakers are delighted to have their content featured and excited to have viewers from around the world.
“While other streaming and online media hubs offer free submission, being anything more than a needle in a haystack requires a lot of self-promotion,” said, CEO, Jon Graham. “We offer a smaller haystack and we do the promotion for our content partners.”
It seems folks are liking the channel. In fact over 10,000 Roku users have added the channel to their home page since it became available in June of 2016.
“I was a little surprised how quickly things started growing!” Graham offered.
