Free Classic Rock TV On Your Roku

One of the best things about owning a Roku if you are a music lover is all of the free music channels available on the device. There are literally dozens of dozens covering a virtual endless selection of genres.

One of the newest channels available is Classic Rock TV. Classic Rock TV features music videos from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I gave the channel a look and it definitely delivers on it’s mission.

The majority of the videos seem to be from the 70’s and 80’s, with a smaller percentage from the 90’s and even some from the 60’s. Most are in standard definition so this does cause some pixelation and picture quality issues, but the music itself is crisp and clear.

The format is a continuous play linear format, with an added bonus as you can fast forward through songs you do not want to listen to. I watched the channel today for approximately an hour without any videos playing twice, and with zero commercial interruptions. There were a few songs I would not necessarily consider Classic Rock, but they were definitely good songs.

The developers channel description:

Classic Rock features the best in Classic Rock music videos from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There’s something for everyone. Presented in a linear format, so turn it on, leave it on, and let it stream!

To add Classic Rock TV just search for it from your Roku channel store, or click here to login to your Roku account online and add the channel.
