Beta Max TV continues to be one of those hidden free streaming gems on Roku for many of us cord cutters. If you grew up in the 1970’s or 1980’s you probably grew up with late night B-Movie shows hosted by some of the most interesting characters around. Beta Max TV has kept that tradition alive on Friday and Saturday nights.
Today they posted the lineup for tonight, and it looks like it will be a horribly bad good time:
Saturday night, BMT presents a HOWLING triple feature that will have you laughing your CRANIUM off, presented by some HIGHLY skilled horror hosts.
At 7 p.m., join Evelle LeChat as Dean Stockwell takes a walk on the wild side in Werewolf of Washington. On a side note, Night Frights will take a hiatus starting next week. Watch for an announcement about Evelle’s Saturday night replacement on Monday.
Later, Gunther Dedmund shows off the German film that inspired The Brain That Wouldn’t Die. Step into his basement at 9 p.m. for The Head.
Finally, Fritz the Nite Owl inhales the 1936 cautionary tale of teenagers having their lives shattered by marijuana and jazz music with Reefer Madness.
Also on Friday night’s Beta Max TV has recently added a new host, My Gal The zombie:
She’s lean, green and not all that mean. Starting this week, Dan Conner’s My Gal, The Zombie will follow Lord Blood-Rah’s Nerve Wrackin’ Theatre on Friday nights at 9 p.m. This old school-style horror hosted show doesn’t just feature creepy movies, but extends to music videos, comic reviews, and more.
