$45.5 Million In New Funding Raised By Roku Inc.

Roku continues to bring in investors by raising $45.5 million as it battles it out with Tech giants Amazon and Apple for streaming device market supremacy.

Variety reported today that Roku disclosed the new round of investment funding in a filing with the SEC.

The story reports that this brings the total amount of funding raised by Roku to over $200 million.

Roku likely needed the new cash to fund it’s expansion into 4k TV’s, cable set top boxes and Roku TV software.

Roku had been rumored in the past to go public for investments, but timing is everything and Roku is likely waiting for the right conditions.
